You Really Don’t Have an Edge — You’re Just Keeping Up!

At the beginning of 2020, before COVID-19 hit, roughly 15% of healthcare IT organizations had positions that they deemed appropriate for remote work.

Which means that the other 85% required those same positions to be on-site only.

Now that all healthcare IT organizations are reevaluating which positions qualify for remote work, the consensus is that they’ll have a far greater market — the entire nation, actually — from which to pull talent.

While this may be the case, it’s important to remember that those same organizations will now be up against much stiffer competition as they attempt to maintain and expand their teams.

With all organizations competing for the same talent on a national level, each of them will have to reevaluate what they’re offering.

Just because you might be an appealing employer within your local market doesn’t mean you’re the most appealing employer competing for talent nationally.

My advice: Do your analysis to evaluate what might appeal to the people you want most.
