One of our healthcare clients is seeking a SQL Developer to join their technology team. This role supports their electronic medical record system, Epic. In this role, you will work closely with their clinical and IT teams to build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database objects to improve system performance and meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects for Epic reporting and analytics
- Optimize SQL code for maximum efficiency and performance
- Create and update documentation for new and existing processes and SQL scripts
- Troubleshoot issues with existing SQL scripts and database performance
- Collaborate with EMR optimization team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Maintain expertise in Epic database architecture, clinical workflows, and modules
- Adhere to organizational data governance policies and industry best practices
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience with SQL development
- Proficiency with SQL programming and database concepts
- Experience with Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle reporting tools
- Understanding of Epic EMR system architecture and clinical workflows
- Ability to analyze large datasets and complex information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
