Senior Network Administrator

 

Job Summary

The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. The Senior Network Administrator ensures network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. The Senior Network Administrator assists in network modeling, analysis, plans, and coordinates between network and data communications hardware and software. The Administrator implements, monitors, and maintains cloud solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security. In addition, the Administrator researches, tests and implements business continuity as well as monitors servers to minimize downtime. Provides guidance to coworkers related to areas of expertise.

  • Knowledge of firewalls, Email security,, switching, routing, storage management,  cloud/Azure, O365.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent.
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field or in lieu of degree, a combination of equivalent education and work experience.

Experience

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing) (5 years)
Information Technology experience with software and hardware (5 years).
Installation and support of LAN/WAN network systems (5 years).
Desktop support experience (5 years).
Familiarity with TCP/IP and Ethernet networks (5 years).

Preferred
Experience with Healthcare information systems
Server support experience (3 years).

Credentials Preferred

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent certification.
A+ Certification.
N+ Certification.
VMWare Certification.
Citrix Certification.
Azure/Cloud Certification.
