Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics

The Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics will lead our data-driven decision-making initiatives. Be a leader in optimizing data utilization, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic growth through data management and governance.

Location: On-site, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure usability, availability, and efficiency of data.
  • Assume primary responsibility for data governance, data management, and data quality standards.
  • Maintain ownership of the internal data warehouse, analytics, data architecture, and data science.
  • Own report writing, interfacing/integration, and data portfolios.
  • Develop and implement data policies and processes across the organization.
  • Provide leadership to the Data Governance Council.
  • Organize and lead the Enterprise Data Management Organization.
  • Collaborate with the line of business data owner to assess and mitigate data quality risks.
  • Establish data strategy and roadmap with the Data Governance Office.
  • Work with Information Security and Privacy Officer to implement data management practices.
  • Provide vision and strategy for data initiatives, including data management and data science.
  • Assess vendor offerings in the data software and tools space.
  • Ensure compliance with information and data policies in strategic solutions.
  • Establish a data science program for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Manage the data management budget and systems initiatives.
  • Provide reports on key metrics to executives.
  • Lead the creation of a business glossary and metadata repository.
  • Operationalize data stewardship and promote data policies.
  • Educate executives and employees on the strategic value of data.
  • Oversee integration and report writing teams.
  • Champion data management, governance, quality, and vendor relationships.
  • Establish and enforce data governance program and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in building, hiring, mentoring, and scaling high-functioning teams.
  • Strong knowledge of managing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to deliver insights and support organizational decisions.
  • Familiarity with data technology infrastructure, business process architecture, and industry-standard data management and governance frameworks.
  • Skill in creating tools and capabilities for data loading, cleansing, enriching, managing, and sharing from various sources.
  • Ability to synthesize business priorities into a cohesive vision for the data management function.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data-related issues to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across organizational lines.
  • Physical ability to perform essential responsibilities, including standing, walking, sitting, stooping, reaching, lifting, seeing, speaking, and hearing.
