Our client has an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the planning, organization, development and implementation of clinical pharmacy system software and Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) within the pharmacy. This is a top notch, financially sound, growth organization.
Be recognized for you ability to provide a valuable mix of technical and analytical knowledge necessary for successful performance of the Pharmacy with this exciting position:
o Participate in multiple aspects of the System Implementation.
o Utilize your informatics, analytical and management capabilities to facilitate exciting initiatives.
o Play a key role in evaluating current information systems and technology, as well as, directing future needs and requirements.
o Promote outstanding patient care and enhance revenue.
o Demonstrate your knowledge of Hospital/Pharmacy workflow.
o Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for safe medication practices.
o Maintain the pharmacy formulary and the corresponding medication order catalog.
o Guide pharmacy development and implementation of IV Admixture program as it pertains to the electronic ordering process.
o Work with development and design documentation processes for restricted medications, therapeutic substitutions and other complex medication processes in the electronic environment.
o Work with the Information Technology upgrade team for orders and pharmacy application.
o Assist in establishing standards for CPOE including naming conventions, order sentence development, units of measure, dose forms, etc.
o Assist in establishing standards and processes for routine updates of the medication order catalog.

If you have strong pharmacy informatics experience and the following qualifications, HealthcareIS wants to talk to you:
o Specific experience with implementing pharmacy and medication safety enabling technologies (bar code medication administration/BCMA, pharmacy automation, automated dispensing).
o PharmD and CERNER, ECLIPSYS or EPIC experience preferred.
o A clinical or computing degree is preferred.
o Strong knowledge of systems and application development.
